COROLLA: THE WORLD'S MOST POPULAR CAR
FOR A SECOND YEAR IN A ROW

According to statistics compiled by Toyota Motor Sales Company, Ltd., the Toyota Corolla, Toyota's popular-size passenger car, recorded the highest production total of any car in the world in 1980―for a second consecutive year. This was, moreover, the sixth year that the Corolla won this distinction. (The statistics in question include only automakers' domestic production. They exclude the Communist bloc and production by foreign subsidiaries.)
