TOYOTA CUMULATIVE PRODUCTION SURPASSES 40 MILLION UNITS

Statistics compiled by TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION show that Toyota's total cumulative production passed the 40-million unit mark on March 1st―a record previously achieved only by GM, Ford and Chrysler in the US (excluding overseas production) and unprecedented for a Japanese automaker.
