TOYOTA TO WELCOME NUMMI TRAINEES

From September 16 through November 15 Toyota Motor Corporation will welcome about 90 group and team leaders from NUMMI (New United Motor Manufacturing Inc., Fremont, California), a joint company established by Toyota and General Motors in the United States. The 90 trainees will arrive in four separate groups. They will undergo training to become the supervisors who will form the nucleus I of plant operations. Between June 1984 and February 1985, Toyota hosted eight groups of NUMMI trainees, totaling approximately 250 persons. This will be the second time for the company to welcome NUMMI trainees.
