FIRST TOYOTA OFF THE LINE AT NEW PLANT IN PAKISTAN

TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION, along with Toyota Tsusho Corporation, announced the line-off of the first Corolla at a new plant in Pakistan. The plant has been built as part of a joint venture with the House of Habib's Indus Motor Company Ltd. Approximately 5,000 passenger cars are expected to be built at the plant in 1993. Future output will increase to an annual level of 20,000 vehicles, with plans to produce commercial vehicles, in addition to the Corolla.
