Toyota to Begin Trial Marketing in
the Republic of Korea

TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION (TMC) announced today that, because of the liberalization and growth potential of the automobile market in the Republic of Korea, it will begin selling its American-built Avalon sedan there on a trial basis. Trial marketing of the Avalon, which is manufactured by Toyota Motor Manufacturing, U.S.A., Inc., will take place over a one-year period, with a sales target of 40 to 50 units per month.
