As part of the challenge to establish a future society in harmony with nature, Toyota has been working with a wide range of stakeholders to expand biodiversity conservation and other nature-positive activities from local communities to the global level.

In December 2022, the 15th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP15) adopted the Kunming-Montreal Biodiversity Framework with the global goal of "halting and reversing biodiversity loss by 2030 to put nature on a path to recovery."

To achieve this goal, the framework establishes targets such as 30by30*1, which aims to conserve of at least 30% of terrestrial and marine areas in each country.

Registration as Nationally Certified Sustainably Managed Natural Sites (Japan)

Toyota Motor Corporation has joined the 30by30 Alliance for Biodiversity led by the Ministry of the Environment of Japan to contribute to the achievement of the 30by30*1 target through its ongoing efforts to promote harmony with nature at its various facilities.
