The Prius + is a dedicated gasoline-electric hybrid model designed to suit various lifestyles.  Like the "Prius" hybrid sedan, the Prius + comes with outstanding environmental performance and an air of technological advancement, but has three rows of seats with seating for seven passengers in its advanced, original form.

A Japanese-market vehicle, based on the "Prius +" and on the "Prius v" recently unveiled at the 2011 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, United States, is planned to go on sale in late April 2011.

The vehicle's compact lithium-ion battery allows for three rows of seats with seating for seven passengers, expansive legroom, sufficient head clearance and a highly functional cargo space.

Equipped with the third-generation Prius hybrid system, the vehicle aims for far-and-away the best fuel efficiency among competing seven-seater multi-purpose vehicles.

The symbolic Prius "triangle silhouette", plus the advanced, unique style of the vehicle, hints at its spacious interior.
