TMC Officially Sponsors Nadeshiko League Soccer
Toyota City, Japan, October 14, 2011―Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) has signed an agreement with the Japan Women's Football League to become an official sponsor1 of the league-run Plenus Nadeshiko League2 and the Plenus Challenge League3 (collectively referred to as the "Nadeshiko League") from October 2011 through March 2013.
On November 30, the Nadeshiko League champions will meet the current English Women's Football Association champions, the Arsenal Ladies, in the Toyota Vitz Cup. It will be the first appearance of the Arsenal Ladies in Japan.
TMC, also sponsor of the "FIFA Club World Cup Japan presented by Toyota"―the decider of the world's top men's club team―and supporter of other soccer-related activities, aims to inspire and support dreams through the sport. Wishing to continue this tradition, TMC's agreement with the Japan Women's Football League expresses its strong support for the Nadeshiko League and TMC's desire to promote the development of women's soccer and support the players' pursuit of their dreams.
