Toyota, Daihatsu, 17 Toyota Group Affiliates Plan Joint Booth
at 31st International Home Care and Rehabilitation Exhibition

 

Tokyo ― TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION (TMC), DAIHATSU MOTOR CO., LTD. (Daihatsu) and 17 Toyota Group affiliates announced today that they will jointly participate in the 31st International Home Care and Rehabilitation Exhibition, the largest exhibition of its kind in Japan, to be held over three days from Oct. 13 to 15 at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center (Tokyo Big Sight) in Tokyo.

Continuing on from last year, the Toyota Group will exhibit a variety of different products under the theme of “New Life, New Style – Comfortable Living, Comfortable Mobility for the Future.” The products have been developed as part of the Toyota Group’s initiative to provide freer mobility and a more comfortable and safe living environment to senior citizens and people with disabilities, as the Toyota Group strives for a more prosperous society in general. In addition to the exhibits, the Toyota Group will also offer such things as a consultation corner to answer and discuss visitor queries in detail.

Furthermore, in coordination with the exhibition, TMC will also hold a Welcab* Driving Campaign at the company’s MEGA WEB car theme park located near Tokyo Big Sight.

*Specially equipped vehicles with factory-installed features for the disabled.

Project developed by TMC and Toyota Group companies in April 1999 in a bid to “Achieve a mutually prosperous relationship between physical places of residence, lifestyles and society.” Participating companies began exhibiting at the International Home Care and Rehabilitation Exhibition under the ATOLIS banner from that year.
