Toyota Sponsors IAAF World Championships in Korea

 

Toyota City, Japan, July 12, 2011 ― Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), as an Official IAAF Partner (female athlete's bib sponsor) of the IAAF World Championships Daegu 2011―to be held this year in Daegu, Korea from August 27 to September 4―will provide 200 vehicles, including units of the "Prius" gasoline-electric hybrid, for use as the marathon lead car and as transportation for athletes during the championships.

TMC has been an Official IAAF Partner since the IAAF World Championships in Paris in 2003.  TMC provides environment-friendly vehicles such as the Prius for use in the events, as well as presenting a World Record Award to record-breaking athletes.
