Production Continues to Increase in April

 

Tokyo―TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION (TMC) today announced the production, domestic sales and export results of TMC and subsidiaries Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. and Hino Motors, Ltd. for April 2004.

  • 31.6% share of the truck market

  • First decrease in five months
  • 42.0% share of market including minivehicles

EXPORTS

  • First decrease in three months due to decreased exports to North America and Europe, despite increased exports mainly to Asia, Oceania and the Middle East
Daihatsu
  • First increase in two months due to increased exports mainly to Latin America and Europe
Hino
  • Twenty-seventh consecutive month of increase due to increased exports mainly to Asia and North America
Toyota + Daihatsu + Hino
  • Third consecutive months of increase

OVERSEAS PRODUCTION
Toyota
  • Twenty-eighth consecutive month of increase due to increased production in almost all regions. It also marked a record high for the month of April.
Daihatsu
  • Tenth consecutive month of increase due to increased production mainly in Indonesia

  • Twenty-eighth consecutive month of increase and a record high for the month of April
