Toyota and Lexus Top of the Class at Nürburgring
Toyota and Lexus celebrated a successful outing at last weekend's 24 Hours of Nürburgring race, racking up four class victories in total.
GAZOO Racing, Toyota Motor Corporation’s grassroots motorsport division, showed a particularly strong performance at “The Green Hell” with three first place finishes in all three classes entered with the Lexus LFA, LFA Code X and Toyota 86.
In addition to the class victories, the GAZOO Racing LFA Code X and LFA finished 11th and 13th overall respectively, well at the top of the field of 110 total finishers.
Toyota Swiss Racing Team locked down the top two positions in the V3 class with Toyota GT86 race cars outfitted by Toyota Motorsport GmbH.
In its first outing at the world-renowned 24-hour race, Toyota Team Thailand proved to be a reliable contender, occupying the final place in the SP3 class.

Toyota Teams from around the World Test their Mettle at "The Green Hell"
This weekend, Toyota and Lexus race cars are descending on a small village in Germany to take part in one of the world’s most grueling motorsport events: the 24 Hours of Nürburgring.
The 20.8 kilometer Nordschleife (“North Loop”), nestled in the dense forests of the Eifel Mountains, is so demanding that Sir Jackie Stewart, one of the circuit’s most illustrious alumni, dubbed it “The Green Hell”.
With 156 turns and elevation changes of over 300 meters, the legendary circuit is the ultimate testing ground for the automotive industry. Prototype vehicles and production cars are regularly put to the test by manufacturers throughout the year.
Lexus famously developed its standard-bearing LFA supercar on the German racetrack; click here to watch the LFA Nürburgring Package completing a lap in just 7:14:64.
A total of 10 Toyota and four Lexus race cars will compete in this weekend’s 42nd running of the 24-hour race. The entrants hail from across the world, the furthest coming from Toyota Motor Thailand and GAZOO Racing, the grassroots motorsport division of Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) in Japan.
Toyota Team Thailand
Toyota Team Thailand is one of the most successful racing teams in Thailand since Toyota Motor Thailand began its motorsport activities in 1986. The team has won several competitions, both domestically and in Southeast Asia, including the Macau Grand Prix. The 42nd running of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring represents the team’s first step into international motorsports.

TMG GT86 Cup
Organized by Toyota Motorsport GmbH, the TMG GT86 Cup is the first competition focusing exclusively on the GT86, Toyota’s rear-wheel drive sports coupe. Using the TMG-developed GT86 CS-V3, the GT86 Cup pits drivers and teams against each other in identical machines for challenging long-distance races. Although the 24-hour race is not part of the Cup, a number of participants will compete with their customer cars on the German circuit.
