TMC Announces Results for September 2010 and the
First-half Period from April to September 2010

 

Toyota City, Japan, October 25, 2010―Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) announces its production, domestic sales and export results, including those for subsidiaries Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. and Hino Motors, Ltd., for September 2010 and the first-half period from April to September 2010.

  • Minivehicle sales totaled approximately 60,600 units (7.5% increase); ninth consecutive month of increase
  • 37.1% share of minivehicle market (1.0% increase); second consecutive month of increase

Hino
  • First decrease in eight months
  • Standard-truck sales totaled approximately 1,500 (14.9% decrease); first decrease in seven months
  • 30.7% share of the truck* market (3.6% decrease)

Toyota + Daihatsu + Hino
  • First decrease in fourteen months
  • 42.0% share of market including minivehicles (0.5% decrease)

*Maximum loading capacity of four tons or more; excluding imported trucks
