Lexus to Display 'LF-C2' Open-air Concept at Los Angeles Auto Show
Tokyo, November 20, 2014―Lexus announces that it will display the Lexus "LF-C2", a new open-air concept, at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show to be held from November 18 to 30*.
The LF-C2 is a 2+2 roadster grand touring concept embodies a passion for driving. Without any kind of top covering the cabin, it provides a feeling of exhilaration in the open air. The vehicle is a design study focused on the emotional designs that Lexus is dedicated to, with an exterior design aiming to utilize the beauty of light.
The exterior's contoured surfaces exude a different character under different lights and angles, with the newly developed Gold Yellow color accentuating changing contours. The finely woven mesh pattern of the spindle grille similarly gives a variety of impressions when viewed from different angles. Meanwhile, five-spoke 20-inch aluminum wheels give the LF-C2 a powerful presence.
The interior is defined by functional and simple design. The rear deck flows to the center console and through the dashboard, while also incorporating a touch pad Remote Touch Interface (RTI). The thick leather-wrapped steering wheel and form-fitting seats clearly express the LF-C2's aim to provide the joy of driving.
