TOYOTA TO OPEN SERVICE TRAINING CENTER IN EUROPE

Toyota City―TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION announced today that it will open its fourth full-scale overseas service training center at a site near Brussels, Belgium. The center, scheduled to be completed in late June 1990, will further strengthen Toyota's after-sales servicing capabilities in Europe.

Tentatively called the Toyota Service Training Center of Europe, the new facility is being established as a part of Toyota's efforts to keep abreast of recent advances in automobile technology and increasingly sophisticated automotive electronics.

The new ¥1-billion center will feature a wide variety of the latest teaching materials and high-tech facilities and equipment, such as a chassis dynamometer and electronics-related diagnostic and audio-visual equipment. Also included in the total floor space of 4,000m2 are conference rooms, classrooms, and training shops to cover all types of service training.

The center is intended to train technical instructors of Toyota's European distributors and to continue the effort of providing a higher degree of customer satisfaction.
