TOYOTA MOTOR HOKKAIDO HOLDS CEREMONY MARKING
COMMENCEMENT OF FULL-SCALE OPERATIONS

Tokyo―TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION announced that Toyota Motor Hokkaido, Inc. held an opening ceremony marking the commencement of full-scale operations at the plant in June, when automatic transmission production began. This follows the start-up of aluminum wheel production last October.

The ceremony was attended by local government officials and business leaders from Hokkaido and other parts of Japan. At the event, Toyota presented the city of Tomakomai with an ambulance and a vehicle for patrol use.
