Toyota Establishes
"Toyota Techno Park India Private Limited"
Delhi―TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION (TMC) announced today the establishment of Toyota Techno Park India Private Limited in joint investment with Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC).
Based in Bangalore, Karnataka State, this new Industrial Park company will provide the base for supplying auto parts for TOYOTA KIRLOSKAR MOTOR PVT. LTD. (TKM) for scheduled December 1999 TKM production start.
The new company has been established to provide TKM vehicles with timely improved international competitiveness and to gather together the overall Toyota group strength and develop automobile supporting industries in India.
A wide range of services will be offered by this new company to joint venture investors from India and Japan to concentrate on production activity including development of local supporting industries for early production start-up.
This is the first time in over 30 years of international operations that Toyota has launched an overseas industrial park plan. Already each participating local partner has been decided together with positive promotion of local technology transfer through activities of this joint venture. The new company outline is attached.
