TOYOTA'S CUMULATIVE JAPANESE CAR PRODUCTION HITS 80 MILLION

TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION celebrated the production of it's 80 millionth Japanese car today, one month and 58 years after the date that the Toyota Motor Corporation, then the Automobile Department of the Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, Ltd., completed its first truck, the G-l. The line-off ceremony commemorating this record was carried out at its Motomachi Plant site today.
