Aim

To realize a society in harmony with nature, reduce the impact on nature throughout the life cycle, and promote conservation activities.

As part of Toyota's efforts to address biodiversity and water issues under the Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050, we established the Challenge of Establishing a Future Society in Harmony with Nature and the Challenge of Minimizing and Optimizing Water Usage in 2015, and launched related initiatives.
We have been a member of the TNFD^* Forum since 2024.

We established the Biodiversity Guidelines in 2008, renewed them as the Toyota Policy on Harmony with Nature in 2021, and revised it in June 2026.
To advance initiatives for the future, we expand Harmony with Nature activities from local communities to the global stage, in collaboration with various stakeholders.

Initiatives to Promote Harmony with Nature

Toyota promotes biodiversity conservation activities at sites around the world, including Japan, Asia, and North America, and has obtained international and public certifications recognizing its efforts to promote harmony with nature.
