TMC to Launch Partially Redesigned 'Avensis' in Japan
New Higher-class "Li" Grade Added
Toyota City, Japan, February 29, 2012―Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) will launch the partially redesigned "Avensis" station wagon, featuring a new higher-class grade, on April 16 in Japan. The vehicle will be sold nationwide through "Toyota", "Toyopet" and "Netz" dealers.

AVENSIS
The Avensis, developed on European roads and featuring excellent cruising performance and premium styling, was launched in Japan to meet the needs of Japanese car buyers partial to European styling.
The vehicle's partial redesign enhances its premium feel while preserving the elegant and dynamic exterior styling and the luxuriously textured interior. Joining the existing "Xi" grade will be the higher-class "Li" grade that offers upgraded exterior and interior features and equipment.
The front view boasts a more robust and dynamic appearance due to the addition of LED clearance lights to the headlamps, a more pronounced center-protruding front grille and bumper, and an accentuated grating on the front lower grille.
Along with a new seat upholstery pattern, the upgraded interior features silver-finished door grips and center console, and refinished door switch bases and chrome-accented side air vents―all contributing to improved cabin feel.
New Higher-class "Li" Grade
The exterior includes front fog lights and exclusive 17-inch tires and wheels.
The interior features Alcantara®* and leather seat coverings as well as wood grain finishes on the center console and door switch bases.
Cruise control and switch-operated motorized lumbar support have been added for enhanced convenience and functionality.
