Toyota Group Unveils Design of Staff Uniforms for EXPO 2005 AICHI,
JAPAN TOYOTA GROUP PAVILION

Tokyo – The 16 companies of the Toyota Group* today unveiled the designs of the 2005 World Exposition, Aichi, Japan TOYOTA GROUP PAVILION staff uniforms.

TOYOTA GROUP PAVILION staff members will consist of “Attendants,” who will direct visitors, and “Main Show Cast,” (who will double as performers and “Attendants”). They will wear different uniforms according to the season.

The concept behind fashion designer Atsuro Tayama’s design for the uniforms is “Emotional Ecology.” The design expresses the freshness, gentleness and strength of nature’s life force, and reflects the butterfly motif featured in various forms in the Main Show. The uniforms, which come in various colors to represent different aspects of nature, such as the planet, the sun, the earth, the sky and forests, brighten up the Pavilion and bring out the individuality of each Attendant.

The uniforms are also environmentally friendly, in line with the “Natural-Cycle Earth Pavilion” concept, using material recycled from plastic PET bottles.

  • The men’s uniform is a youthful looking casual suit in blue and orange, drawing from the colors of the blue sky and the shining sun.
