TMC to Hold Fan Events for AFC Champion League Final

 

Tokyo, Japan, October 22, 2010―Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) announces it will hold fan events from October 23 to November 13 related to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League soccer final that will be held at Tokyo's National Stadium on November 13, 2010.

The events will include a championship trophy tour of the TMC-affiliated Tressa Yokohama shopping mall and Amlux Tokyo car-display facility, photo sessions in front of the championship-prize Toyota "Prius" (in cooperation with Seiko Epson Corporation and Nikon Corporation), as well as a program giving selected children a behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium and allowing them to escort the players onto the field before the start of the final.

The AFC Champions League tournament determines the No. 1 soccer club-team in Asia.  Participating in this year's final will be Seongnam Ilhwa of South Korea and Zobahan of Iran, and the winning team will represent Asia in the "FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2010 presented by Toyota" tournament.

TMC seeks to contribute to the development of a prosperous society through activities that promote sports, and, thus, TMC is supporting the AFC Champions League with the aim of contributing to the development of soccer and raising its presence in Asia.
