Toyota’s Automobile Museum Celebrates 25 Years with
Special Emergency and Industrial Vehicle Exhibition
Toyota City, Japan, June 26, 2014―Toyota Motor Corporation’s automobile museum in Nagakute City, Aichi Prefecture, the Toyota Automobile Museum, in commemoration of 25 years of since its establishment, will hold a rare vehicle exhibition from July 19 to September 28 featuring special-purpose vehicles used in emergency and industrial roles.
Special workbooks in Japanese and English have been prepared for attending children to present the roles and functions of the six exhibited vehicles and their users in a fun way. Demonstrations of the vehicles will also be held seven times between July 19 and September 13.
In keeping with the museum's 25th anniversary slogan, "becoming a museum that tells stories", there will also be two special talks on heavy machinery. There will also be a bus tour to see towing tractors working on-site at Chubu International Airport.
From July 19 to August 31, there will be workshops where participants can make crafts such as wind chimes, as well as a quiz and picture drawing event.
Furthermore, on August 21 the museum will hold a class for children called "How Vehicles Work", that will give easy-to-understand explanations of the inner workings of vehicles using models as visual aids. Finally, from July 19 to September 28, the second floor gallery of the main building will be hosting a photography exhibit called “Digging the Earth”.
