ONE MILLIONTH TOYOTA CARINA ROLLS OFF ASSEMBLY LINE
TOKYO―Toyota Motor Sales Company today announced that the Toyota Carina, a sporty sedan for family use which fits in the Toyota line between the Corona and the Corolla, surpassed the one million cumulative production mark in April.
The one millionth Carina rolled off the assembly line on April 12, just 7 years and 5 months since production of the Carina model began in December 1970.
The Carina is the sixth passenger car in the Toyota line to surpass the one million mark in production, following the Corona in 1968, the Corolla in 1971, the Crown in 1972, the Cressida in 1973 and the Celica in 1977.
