INAUGURAL CEREMONY IS HELD FOR PCM TOYOTA LTD.

 

Toyota City―At 10:00 a.ra. on September 3 (JST 13:30 p.m., Sept. 3), the inaugural ceremony for the new plant of DCM Toyota Ltd. (abbreviated DTL; Senior Executive Director: Mr. T.G. Kripalani; Location: Surajpur, Uttar Pradesh, India) was held.

Ever since DCM Toyota Ltd. was established jointly by Toyota Motor Corporation and DCM Ltd. on August 1, 1983, it has been preparing for local production, including actual construction of the plant and employee training.

DCM Toyota Ltd. began full-scale production and marketing of the Dyna in July 1985. So far, production and sales of that truck are increasing steadily; the projection for the initial year (July 1985 to June 1986) is 5,000 units.
