TOYOTA OPENS TRAINING CENTER IN BAHRAIN
Toyota City―TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION today announced the completion of a new service training center in the outskirts of Manama, Bahrain. The new facility has been set up to strengthen Toyota's after-sales service system in the Middle East.
Built at a cost of $3.82 million, the center is the largest directly managed training facility of its kind in the Middle East, with a total floor space of 1,440m2. Toyota will employ 13 instructors and staff at the facility to train local distributor and fleet customer service technicians in the latest Toyota automotive technologies and diagnostic techniques. It will also provide technical support for vocational schools in neighboring countries.
In addition to practical training and lecture rooms, the center is equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment and materials for training in advanced vehicle diagnostics. A total of nine courses on new technology, new models and equipment, and other subjects are planned for about 80 technicians this year.
