TOYOTA TO HOLD MEETING FOR OVERSEAS SUPPLIERS
Toyota City―TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION announced today that it plans to invite about 50 of its North American suppliers to a three-day meeting this fall in Nagoya. The meeting is aimed at promoting closer ties between the company and its growing number of overseas auto parts suppliers.
Specifically, Toyota hopes to deepen mutual understanding among management through an exchange of views on technology development, quality improvement, and the study of actual manufacturing processes used by Toyota and its domestic suppliers. It also aims to promote a consensus on achieving customer satisfaction in Toyota automobile manufacturing. In addition, Toyota will hold separate meetings with each company to work on expanding business.
Toyota's first overseas suppliers' meeting is scheduled to be held in late October.
