Toyota Holds Opening Ceremony for Brazil Plant

 

Tokyo―TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION (TMC) opened on September 18 the Indaiatuba Plant, the second manufacturing facility of its local affiliate Toyota do Brasil S.A., Industria e Comercio (TDB).

The impressive ceremony was attended by many guests from the Brazilian government, TMC Chairman Shoichiro Toyoda and TDB President Kazo Uji.

Along with introducing the new plant, Chairman Toyoda presented the Sao Paulo Provincial Fire Department and the Indaiatuba City Police Department with patrol cars (Corolla). He likewise presented the Indaiatuba City Health Department with an ambulance (Hilux).

The Indaiatuba Plant has a yearly production capacity of 15,000 units.
The facility began production of Corollas at the end of August.
