Toyota Opens Showroom in Paris
Tokyo―TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION (TMC) today announced the opening of "Le Rendez-Vous Toyota," an innovative new non-sales showroom in Paris, France. This is the first such showroom that TMC has established outside of Japan. Representatives of the French government and the city of Paris attended the opening ceremony, held at the showroom October 1, along with TMC Chairman Shoichiro Toyoda and Toyota Motor Europe Marketing & Engineering (TMME) President Tatsuo Takahashi.
At its central location on the Champs Elysées, the showroom displays popular new Toyota vehicles, and provides a wealth of information through computers and a variety of other media. In addition, it will host exhibitions, cultural and educational programs and various events involving well-known personalities throughout the year.
The showroom is not only TMC's base for information transmission and collection in France, but it is also expected to play an important role in Parisian society as a central venue for cultural and information exchange in Paris.
The showroom is managed directly by TMME, and no retail sales activities will be undertaken there.
