Toyota City, Japan, April 6, 2022―Toyota Motor Corporation ("Toyota"), Fuji International Speedway Co., Ltd. ("Fuji Speedway") and TOWA REAL ESTATE Co., Ltd. ("Towa Real Estate") will promote the "Fuji Motorsports Forest" ("Forest") project in Oyama, Shizuoka Prefecture.
In addition, Towa Real Estate, in charge of development as a developer, will change its name to "TOYOTA FUDOSAN CO., LTD." effective April 27, 2022.
About "Forest"
Centered around the Fuji International Speedway circuit, Forest will consist of various facilities where motorsports culture can be enjoyed such as the Fuji Speedway Hotel which offers a luxury experience, the Fuji Motorsports Museum which exhibits historic racing cars symbolizing each era, and garages of Japan's leading racing teams. There are also spas and restaurants for the enjoyment of all visitors.

- Mission / Vision
Forest aims to be a "playground and social gathering place for adults" where people can enrich their lives and experience the enjoyment of learning about and participating in the world of mobility and motorsports. Each facility in the area will offer a variety of experiences for everyone from adults to children, creating a Mobility and Motorsports City of the Future.
- Location
This area will undergo a major transformation in the future with the opening of the Shin-Tomei Expressway. It is approximately one hour from Tokyo by car and adjacent to a smart interchange to be built in the Oyama Parking Area which will greatly improve access to the area.
Forest is also approximately 20 minutes by car from Gotemba Premium Outlets located to the east, and Lake Yamanakako situated to the northwest making it easy to visit nearby tourist attractions. This makes it convenient for overnight stays and day trips by car from the Kanto and surrounding areas, allowing families, friends, and couples to enjoy a pleasant and relaxing time together.
It is hoped that further collaboration with surrounding facilities will enhance the area's overall appeal.
- Overview of Each Facility
Forest offers the following variety of motorsports-related experiences. Combining the experiences of each facility will lead to a unique enjoyment that only Forest can offer. (The following includes images)
- Fuji Speedway
Fuji Speedway is centered around a 4,563-meter-long international racing course, offering various motorsports-related facilities from kart tracks to short circuits. It is the ultimate place to watch races as well as play with cars. The Racing Course Experience, where visitors can drive the approximately 1.5-kilometer-long home straight―one of the longest in the world―in their own car is particularly recommended. Visitors are encouraged to come and experience this world-class circuit.
- Fuji Speedway Hotel / Fuji Motorsports Museum
The Fuji Speedway Hotel will be the first of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt to be newly opened in Japan where guests can enjoy views of the circuit and Mount Fuji. The Fuji Motorsports Museum is another attraction where visitors can enjoy taking a leisurely look at historic racing cars that symbolize each era. The museum was created under the supervision of the Toyota Automobile Museum, and thanks to the cooperation of manufacturers from Japan and abroad.
- Racing Team Garage Area
This area is where visitors can enjoy special tours of professional racing team garages, which are usually unavailable to the public, as well as events by manufacturer factories. The opportunity to see drivers, engineers and mechanics up close will be an unforgettable experience for both car-loving adults and children.
- Spas / Restaurants
Spas and restaurants that visitors returning from nearby tourist attractions can stop by and enjoy are currently being planned. The goal of Forest is to create a place where visitors can stay and relax while also enjoying the mobility and motorsports experience.

Message from Akio Toyoda (President of Toyota Motor Corporation and Chairman of Towa Real Estate)
May 3, 1966 is when the final race of the Japanese Grand Prix was held at Fuji Speedway for the first time. That day, 56 years ago, was also my 10th birthday and my father took me to the Fuji Paddock. I remember the roar of the engines and cheering of the fans, which was a very exciting birthday present. The "old guys" in front of the cars all looked very serious but also seemed to be enjoying themselves. I think that kind of formative experience helped me grow up into Morizo, an "old guy who loves cars" and an "old guy who loves motorsports."
"I want to share this kind of formative experience with the kids of today…." That is the thought behind the Fuji Motorsports Forest. We want it to be a place where people who work in the field of motorsports can do so more energetically. We also want racing teams to gather here with that same thought in mind. If I listed all the thoughts behind Forest, it would be endless. We will turn this area in Fuji into a place where those who enjoy motorsports, those who work in motorsports, adults and children will want to come.
Motorsports is critical for the development of the automobile industry. For this reason, we will sow the seeds of the future of motorsports in this place. The speed at which they grow may differ, but we will nurture these seeds to grow into an incredible forest that many people can enjoy.
