This is how Tsugi-Craft by TOYOTA UPCYCLE came to be.
The word tsugi represents our philosophy of continuing, joining together, and living on into the future.
Tsugi-Craft is a unique approach to craftsmanship that combines the detailed handwork of Japanese sewing factories with the Toyota Motor Corporation expertise in manufacturing industrial products.
This fusion of ancient wisdom and modern techniques transforms leather cast-offs into premium merchandise.
Upcycling has become an important movement in the approach to eco friendly and casual.
We chose to go a step further, staking out our own space in the premium category through upcycling.
Tsugi-Craft by TOYOTA UPCYCLE is a new choice in premium upcycling.

TOYOTA UPCYCLE is a project that aims to create a culture committed to recycling, transforming often-disregarded scrap materials from the automobile manufacturing process into products that embody fresh, new value.
Together with partners across materials, manufacturing, and sales functions, we strive for a future where too valuable to waste becomes a valuable use of waste.
