at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, accompanied by eleven representative works spanning from ancient Greece to the modern era
—together forming a remarkable ensemble of fifteen sculptures.
These fifteen works are displayed on a rotating basis both inside and outside
THE MOVEUM YOKOHAMA.
These world-renowned cultural heritage sculptures have been meticulously recreated
through a fusion of cutting-edge technology and the exceptional craftsmanship of French master artisans.
They are true masterpieces that embody the harmony of tradition and innovation.
As the original works are precious treasures that never leave France, this exhibition offers a rare and invaluable experience.
Set against the scenic backdrop of the pier, we invite you to immerse yourself in the art and enjoy a profound sense of unity,
as if you have become a part of the collection itself.

About the atelier de Moulage
Inheriting a technical lineage that began at the Louvre in 1794, the atelier de Moulage, or plaster casting studio, is an expert institution that crafts extremely accurate reproductions of sculptures including their shape and surface characteristics based on meticulous studies of the original pieces.
This exhibition displays a collection that has been brought to life with a fusion of superb conventional atelier de Moulage techniques and revolutionary digital technologies in a unique creative process that stays true to the design of the originals.

What is "Coup de foudre-Love At First Sight Exhibition-atelier de Moulage du GrandPalaisRmn ~Mesmerizing Sculptural Masterpieces~"about?
The “Coup de foudre-Love At First Sight” exhibition showcases beauty and spirit through 15 sculptures that embody French cultural heritage and outstanding artisanal techniques.
The pieces on display are select reproductions by the atelier de Moulage du GrandPalaisRmn in France. These famous works of art normally (almost) never leave their respective homes in major European art museums, however, THE MOVEUM YOKOHAMA is fortunate enough to display exquisite reproductions expertly crafted by state-supported master artisans.
Of the 15 sculptures on display, the exhibition features four large reproductions that were shown in the France Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai, in addition to 11 pieces that span eras from ancient Greece to the 20th century. All 15 sculptures will be displayed in rotation throughout the exhibition period.
To complement these artisanal techniques, some of the sculptures are displayed on marble-like pedestals made using Toyota's latest waste material upcycling technology.
