Toyota Develops New D-4 Fuel Efficient,
High Output Direct-Injection Gasoline Engine

TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION (TMC) announced today that it recently completed development of the D-4 direct-injection, 4-stroke gasoline engine. Sales of vehicles mounted with the Toyota D-4 engine will start within this year.
