PHEV
Reducing CO2 emissions is a pressing issue on a global scale, and Toyota is working to become carbon neutral (CN) by 2050. There is significance in promoting the widespread adoption of environmental vehicles to contribute to CO2 reduction. Toyota is therefore offering a variety of options with a full lineup of electrified vehicles, including HEVs, PHEVs, BEVs, and FCEVs, to provide sustainable a means of transportation in a practical manner. It aims to reduce CO2 emissions with vehicles that are easy to use and attractive to customers.
PHEVs can use their electric-motor-only cruising range for most of their daily travels. Toyota will continue to expand its lineup of PHEVs that offer the same characteristics of BEVs with the added option of running on gasoline when traveling long distances or as needed.
