Support for damage caused by the large-scale eruption and tsunami in Tonga

We would like to express our heartfelt sympathy to all those affected by the large-scale underwater volcanic eruption and tsunami that occurred in Tonga on January 15, 2022.

As "One Toyota Oceania," Toyota Motor Corporation, Toyota Australia, Toyota New Zealand, Toyota Tsusho Corporation, Toyota Tsusho South Pacific Holdings Pty. Ltd. (Toyota Tsusho Automotive Division's Australia base), Toyota Tsusho (PNG) Ltd. (Toyota Tsusho distributor in Papua New Guinea), Toyota Tsusho (South Sea) Ltd. (Toyota Tsusho distributor in Fiji) along with other organizations have decided to donate a total of 330,000 AUD (approximately 27.1 million JPY) to UNICEF as emergency relief aid.

At the same time, the TOYOTA VERBLITZ rugby team has had many Tongan team members since its founding in 1941 and currently has three active Tongan players. As such, through the Japan Rugby League One and the Japan Rugby Union, a portion of the sales of products including the "TOYOTA VERBLITZ Yearbook 2022" will be donated in support of Tonga.

We sincerely hope for the earliest possible recovery of all disaster-stricken areas.
