With "the Hybrid, Reborn" as a motto, we aimed to create a "breathtaking design," something that can't be quantified or reasoned with. Together as a team, we poured our passion into creating a cool design.

To achieve a simpler and cleaner design, we shed all unnecessary shapes and lines, challenging ourselves to create new values in design. The main point of appeal is the rhythmical transition of surfaces on the body side.

How to make an evocative shape? This challenge started from the very first sketch I saw. By experimenting with many different kinds of shapes with designers, I managed to create a dynamic shape with beautiful movement in clean surfaces without using character lines.

After many discussions with designers, "Fun to look at, Fun to drive" is what I wanted to express. For the digital model, I gave my best to painstakingly build everything from individual parts to the whole body. I'd really like for our many customers around the world to appreciate the new Prius with a smile.

How should the interior of the new Prius be? After a lot of trial and error with fellow team members, I aimed to create an intuitive and high quality cockpit that enables the driver to concentrate on driving. "WOW!" is the first impression you'll get when opening the door.

Aiming to create a high quality interior with digital modelling, I pushed myself to take on new development methods. From parts configuration to smaller details, I went back and forth, checking and making adjustments, to achieve a high quality interior with a special feel. Please try it out.

For the exterior and interior color design, I especially wanted to express the delicate combination of driving excitement and high quality. While thoroughly working on color, quality, and shape, I aimed to fuse them into one complete design. "That's great!" is the reaction I hope to get, and I'd be happy if it becomes a special car.
